Join us for a brief Volunteer Assistant Program Orientation highlighting what to expect as a volunteer assistant, our facilities, and all the fun we're having at Ann Arbor Cooks!

We are looking for individuals with a passion for all things food and cooking!

Ann Arbor Cooks is looking to create a core team of dedicated volunteer Culinary Assistants to work closely with instructors and students to facilitate our cooking classes.  Assistants may have a wide range of experience -- from enthusiastic beginner to polished veteran.  In return for all of their hard work, assistants earn credits toward half-price classes!

What to Expect

Culinary Assistants are asked to arrive a half an hour prior to the beginning of class to help with set up.  During class, assistants are extremely helpful by making sure the instructor and students have what they need at all times, as well as keeping up with clean-up.  When class has ended, assistants and the instructor finish cleaning up and call it a day.  Rest assured that you will always receive a recipe packet from class and be well fed!

Not only will you learn valuable culinary skills as you assist, but for every three classes you assist, Ann Arbor Cooks encourages you to sign up as a student in another class for half-price.  If you love food as much as we do, this might be a right fit for you.  We can't wait for you to join our team!
